"Momma, why is there a switch in my brain?"
Hmmm... I say, "I don't know. What does the switch do?"
After some probing, I found Poppa has been trying to help Abby work through her night troubles. The switch troubled her some (I believe the context was Poppa telling her that there was a switch in her brain that told her when it's time to go to sleep and when it's time to get up).

so precious. and your dad... is adorable... if only everyone would have such patience and creativity...
What a wonderful girl. I was running out of ideas and decided to give her the basics of the Pineal gland at the front end of the brain which - research has shown needs the lack of light stimulation to relax. That she accurately remembered that is so sweet. Good thing I don't live so close .. I'd be there holding her hand until 3 am! (Such are the real solutions from Poppa! - I get to leave REALLY explaining brain anatomy to Mommy and Daddy)
Just where were you when Adrea needed her hand held until 3 a.m.???? Huh? Huh?
Men certainly do improve with age!
